New ATM Now Available at Union Hospital – Making Money Management Easier

Terre Haute, Ind. - Indiana State University Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the installation of a new ATM at Union Hospital, offering greater convenience and accessibility for members and individuals on the go. Whether you’re visiting a loved one, working a shift, or simply passing through, managing your finances is now quicker and more convenient than ever.

Located on the lower level just outside the cafeteria, the ATM is easily accessible from the hospital’s main entrance. This new service reflects ISU Federal Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to providing practical, member-focused financial solutions.

The ATM is surcharge-free for ISU Federal Credit Union members, ensuring seamless, cost-effective access to accounts 24/7.

“We’re always looking for new ways to support our members’ financial well-being,” said Brian Zuber, CEO at ISU Federal Credit Union. “By placing an ATM right inside Union Hospital, we’re making it easier for members—especially healthcare professionals and visitors—to access their money when and where they need it.”

Union Health employees and their families are eligible for membership with ISU Federal Credit Union and are encouraged to take advantage of this new convenience.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State University Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the award of $22,000 in college scholarships to outstanding students for the 2025–2026 academic year. These scholarships are part of the credit union’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and empowering the next generation of leaders in our community.

Four students were selected for the top award of $5,000 for the next academic year based on community involvement, leadership, and a demonstrated commitment to their educational and career goals. An additional four students were selected to receive a book scholarship, each of those students will receive $500 for book expenses in the next academic year.

“Investing in education is one of the most impactful ways we can support our members and our community,” said Brian Zuber, CEO at Indiana State University Federal Credit Union. “These students represent the future, and we are honored to play a role in helping them achieve their dreams.”

The Indiana State University Federal Credit Union scholarship is open to members enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program at Indiana State University or Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Applications for the next scholarship cycle will open in November 2025.

Tuition Scholarship Winners include Amya Hilderbrand, Timothy Smith and Sydni Weber all Indiana State University students and Natalie Knigga a student at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Brailey Cleeton, also an SMWC student, received a Book Scholarship as well as Samantha Hendricks, Sadie Herring and Jensen Turner who attend ISU.

Indiana State University Federal Credit Union Welcomes Brian Zuber as New President/CEO

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Indiana State University Federal Credit Union (ISU FCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Zuber as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Zuber will officially join the credit union in early October, working closely with the current CEO, Sam Shanks, to ensure a smooth transition before her retirement later in the month.

“I am honored to have been selected as the next President and CEO of ISU FCU,” said Zuber. “I look forward to joining the current team and am excited about what we can accomplish together for ISU FCU members.”

Zuber comes to ISU FCU with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at the Springfield, Illinois-based Heartland Credit Union. Before his role at Heartland Credit Union, Zuber held executive roles at Scott State Bank and Staley Credit Union. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and several professional certifications, including a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE).

“We are delighted to welcome Brian to the ISU FCU family,” said Randy Jensen, Board Chair. “While we are sad to see Sam depart after her many years of dedicated service, we are confident that Brian’s leadership, experience, and vision will guide the credit union to continued success and growth. Sam Shanks, who has been with ISU FCU for over four decades, is leaving a legacy of commitment and excellence in service. Her contributions have been instrumental in the credit union’s growth and success, leaving the organization in a strong position for future advancement.
